Generate and share public QR codes automatically on monday.com with Triggerly

If you’re managing inventory, deliveries, field operations, or events inside monday.com, QR codes are one of the fastest ways to connect the physical world with your digital workflows.

Triggerly is a monday.com app that lets you generate dynamic QR codes for any item, trigger automations on scan, and share or print QR codes at scale—all without leaving your boards.

With public QR codes, anyone with a scanner (or smartphone camera) can interact with your monday.com workflows—update statuses, open items, submit forms, or trigger follow-up actions.

Triggerly’s new update makes it easy to share your QR codes outside monday.com. With this feature, every time a new item is created, Triggerly automatically generates a QR code, saves it on your board, and now also creates a public link you can share anywhere — online, in print, or with external partners.

Why public QR codes on monday.com matter?

Previously, all QR codes generated by Triggerly were stored only inside monday.com as files. While this helped with tracking, it wasn’t ideal for teams that needed to share QR codes publicly — for example, attaching them to packaging, event materials, or marketing documents.

This feature changes that. Each generated QR code now comes with a public viewing page — complete with your item’s name, the QR code, and a download button. Anyone with the link can view or download the QR code without needing monday.com access.

Public QR codes let people outside your monday.com account (or users away from a laptop) interact with your workflows in seconds:

  • Customers can track orders or deliveries by scanning a label.
  • Field teams can update status or quantities directly from the warehouse floor.
  • Visitors or attendees can open a monday form or registration page from a poster or ticket.

With Triggerly, you can auto-generate those QR codes, link them to public URLs (like forms, portals, or tracking pages), and share or print them at scale—no manual design tools needed.

Real-World Use Cases

  • Product Inventory & Asset Tracking – Share QR codes on packaging or product labels for quick identification and scanning.
  • Warehouse Management – Print QR codes that link directly to each item’s monday.com details.
  • Events & Ticketing – Share public QR links for attendees to scan for event details or access passes.
  • Sales & Customer Support – Provide external partners or customers with direct access to product or document links via QR.

How public QR code sharing Works?

  • Each time a new item is created, Triggerly automatically generates a QR code.
  • The image is stored in the Files column you selected.
  • A public link to view and download that QR code is saved in your Link column.

Anyone with the public link can view a simple page showing your item name, QR code, and a Download QR Code button — all powered by Triggerly.

Pro Tip

Combine this automation with QR Customization under the Triggerly Settings tab to style your QR codes — add your company logo, set brand colors, and define image size before they’re automatically generated.
